Review of Serene Lincoln 6ft Super Kingsize Oak Bed Frame by fold-out sofa refugee

This bed is not structurally sound & is potentially quite dangerous. Central support beam not very strong & inadequately supported. Snapped in two places the first night we slept on it. In their confirmation email (AFTER you've bought it), UK Bed Store (Bedz Bedzz and Bedrooms) include this passage:

"IMPORTANT - Please be aware that if you have purchased a bed frame which will be placed on hard flooring such as wood, laminate, tile etc you will require a non-slip material (which we do not supply) placing under the centre support legs. If this is not done then the centre support legs can move causing damage to the centre support rail which will not be covered under your guarantee."

Obviously a problem they're aware of. This warning applies to any type of flooring except carpeting (staff confirmed this to me).

Bed frame itself is lovely & quite good value, but design of central beam & support legs is seriously flawed & needs urgent revision. BUYER BEWARE.

We do add the friendly advice about centre support legs standing on hard flooring on all emailed order confirmations - this is just in case it's not mentioned in manufacturer's assembly instructions, or seen by a customer upon assembling.
